Suhr/Guthrie Govan European Clinic Tour!

Just spotted on the Guthrie forum:

After the great success of the clinic tour of the US/Canada northeast we did with Guthrie in July, we surveyed our top dealers in Europe and they also advised us that they’d love to have us do the same there. So, it seems Guthrie and I will embark on a mini-tour of Europe in December with clinic-shows in UK, France, Germany, perhaps the Netherlands, perhaps Sweden, and Norway.

I’m working on the dates now and should have the schedule finalized over the next several weeks. The tour will be at least 2 weeks long with around 10 clinics. Some of the dates should feature a local backing band to perform Guthrie’s tunes and jams on jazz-fusion standards. The dealers in Europe are already very excited and we expect another very successful and memorable tour.

Carl Verheyen and Guthrie Govan UK Masterclass

Two of my favourite players, Carl Verheyen and Guthrie Govan will be holding an evening of guitar and masterclasses in Bexhill on October 31st!

On Saturday, 31st October, we will be hosting a one off evening with two of the world’s most prolific guitar players.

Carl Verheyen (Supertramp guitarist) and Guthrie Govan (Asia, Guitar Techniques) will be performing together and taking questions from the audience. They will also be supported by the fantastic Seaford Allstars, who themselves are all top session musicians in their own right.


On the day of the gig, both players will be holding master classes for a limited number of people. This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get close up and learn some of their techniques first hand.

They will hold two 50-minute master classes each. Numbers are limited to ten per class, so an early booking is a must.

Each Masterclass ticket will cost £26 and the evening gig £21.

Jeff Loomis UK Clinics!

Just spotted on Total Guitar website, Jeff Loomis of Nevermore will be doing a couple of UK clinics!:

Renowned metal shredder Jeff Loomis is hosting two guitar clinics in the UK this October.

The clinics have been set up by Westside Distribution and Schecter Guitar Research, and are a must for fans of fast shredding, heavy riffing and virtuoso technique.

Jeff is renowned for his work with Seattle band Nevermore, and now as a solo artist with the release of his album ‘Zero Order Phase’.

He will take time out from recording Nevermore’s eagerly anticipated 7th studio album ‘The Obsidian Conspiracy’ to host the clinics at Sounds Great, Heald’s Green, Cheshire and at a further location TBC the following day.
