Just spotted this on the Suhr forum:
On the 5th of December Peach Guitars and Suhr Guitars present world reknowned guitarist Guthrie Govan at ‘the Venue’ Braintree.
There’s 2 types of ticket for this event, we have limited numbers for a masterclass which will feature a small group of individuals where Guthrie will be giving you tips and tricks on improving your guitar technique, i’ve seen Guthrie do this before and the knowledge that he gives you is invaluable.
After the clinic Guthrie will be performing some of his classic tracks from the album ‘Erotic Cakes’.
We will also have Ed Yoon on hand all the way from California to talk all things Suhr related.Type 1 Ticket is for the masterclass and gig (£30)
Type 2 is gig only. (£10)
We’ll have an incredible selection of Suhr guitars on display and unrepeatable deals offered on the day.
Masterclass is 14.30 till 16.00
Gig is 16.30 till 18.30

These are not backing tracks that we’ve recreated. This is the real thing… Guthrie’s studio recordings, but with the lead guitar parts
removed. Included is a set of “Real Book” style transcriptions showing all the composed parts, along with advice on what scales to
use for the improvised solo. All transcriptions were painstakingly checked by Guthrie, the bundle includes his tips and advice.
NEWS: Guitar Institute to host Steve Vai masterclass at Guitar Nation 2010

Hot off the press, some more detailed info about Steve Vai’s Masterclass at Guitar Nation 2010:
The Guitar Institute (part of London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) will be hosting ‘An Audience with Steve Vai’ as part of Guitar Nation 2010 on 14th November at Kensington Olympia.
Attendees will get the chance to spend 90 minutes in the company of the legendary guitarist, including an interview hosted by Justin Sandercoe (of www.justinguitar.com), performances by Guitar Institute students and a question and answer session. This is an exclusive opportunity to hear from the master himself and get your burning questions answered on everything from his career and experience to his writing and playing. Tickets cost £55 for ‘An Audience with Steve Vai’ and include entry to Guitar Nation for the 14th November. They are available through the Guitar Nation website (www.guitarnation2010.com).
The Guitar Institute will also be hosting a seminar at Guitar Nation entitled ‘The Guitar Entrepreneur’ on the 13th November with a panel of professionals and experts. Discussion will centre around the entrepreneurial and innovative ways of creating a career as a professional musician.
