Richie Kotzen In-store appearance at Imported Instruments!

Yesterday I nipped into Imported Instruments, here in Edinburgh, and had the great pleasure to discover that Richie Kotzen will be making an in-store appearance there on Tuesday 20th October, from 1pm – 2pm, before he plays the gig at The Caves in the evening!
Awesome chance for people in Edinburgh and nearby to meet a true Guitar Hero! 
Suhr/Guthrie Govan European Clinic Tour!

Just spotted on the Guthrie forum:
After the great success of the clinic tour of the US/Canada northeast we did with Guthrie in July, we surveyed our top dealers in Europe and they also advised us that they’d love to have us do the same there. So, it seems Guthrie and I will embark on a mini-tour of Europe in December with clinic-shows in UK, France, Germany, perhaps the Netherlands, perhaps Sweden, and Norway.
I’m working on the dates now and should have the schedule finalized over the next several weeks. The tour will be at least 2 weeks long with around 10 clinics. Some of the dates should feature a local backing band to perform Guthrie’s tunes and jams on jazz-fusion standards. The dealers in Europe are already very excited and we expect another very successful and memorable tour.

Hopefully as Guitar Guitar is a dealer we’ll get the mighty GG up here in Glasgow/Edinburgh!
“Shred This!” Competition Top 3!

Huge congrats to Bryan Aspey, Damjan Pejcinoski and Vladimir Maisiuk for being the very deserved Top 3 in the Shred This! Competition!
A BIG thanks to Laurie, Tom and Rick for putting in long hours on what seemed like an impossible task!
Once again it’s great to see so many amazing players out there who have such a passion for the best instrument evah!
Was reading that there are more competitions in the works, so get practising!

We’re almost down to the last 15 now in the “Shred This!” Competition, Laurie says:
We are almost there…Tom has listed his Top 15 Rick and Myself still have one too many… we are down to 19 at the moment, but there are many common names. The top 15 will all win a prize the type of prize will depend if you make it into the top 3. The details of the special prize for making the top 15 will be posted with that final 15 list. In addition Shred Junior pointed out that “I want you to shred for me…” means him! So Shred Junior will also pick his own prize winners with their special prizes too which will be announced when the final top 3 names are selected. Let the flaming and hate mail begin!

Update from Laurie over on truthinshredding, Laurie, Rick and Tom have been busy trying to whittle down the entries in the ‘Shred this!‘ competition.
Top 45:
I was stoked to see that I had made the top 45, considering the talent in the competition! 
It’s been, again, a great way of seeing other players from all over the globe who share a passion for the greatest instrument ever!
The next cut will be down to the last 15!
