To be honest the Dean Shredder contest is mostly passing me by but I did spot this awesome video from Gottyboy on truthinshredding this morning:

Nice to see an entry that aims for some musical merit rather than an attempt to display every chop one has in one minute.

Workshoplive George Benson Breezin’ Lounge!

Following on from the successful Satch Zone lessons on workshoplive, looks like they have teamed up with George Benson to bring us ‘George Benson’s Breezin’ Lounge‘!

We had the distinct pleasure of filming the great jazz guitar legend, George Benson for his upcoming Breezin’ Lounge project for WorkshopLive where you’ll learn how to recreate his signature sound. We working hard to map all of his notes into our animated fretboard (not easy) and are re-creating the look of a great American jazz club online. Our very own master instructor and jazz virtuoso Jody Fisher plays host to these amazing lessons. This club launches later this month

New Metallica album, ‘Death Magnetic’, out September 12th

The new Metallica album, ‘Death Magnetic’ is to be released on Friday September 12th.
